Cianten-The Ride (Part 2)
It was already noon when we passed by second geothermal well head. Right next to the site, we ride through a dirt road that will take us to the forest boundary. This will be the boundary between forest and tea plantation. Our track declined slightly as we entered the tea plantation and when we close to the forest boundary it slowly ascending.
On entering the small forest nearby the outskirts of the hill, we are treated to beautiful scenery to the left side of the dirt road. Here we must be careful, looking at the narrow dirt road and it is directly adjacent to a fairly steep ravine. In this section the track is a bit steep. After about 1.5 miles riding down around the edge of the hill, we arrived on a small kampong called Kampung Muara. In this small village we take a rest for about 20 minutes.
We continue the journey toward the North, where the path led us to the edge of a river. Some people from our group stopped for a while to take a portrait of the beautiful scenery. Soon nearby a small rice fields, we arrived on a iron bridge which is 35 cm wide. Slowly, each of us leading his bike through the iron bridge to cross theriver.
After all of us crossed the river, we arrived on a rocky uphill track. This rocky path follows the edge of the river flow and we can see the natural beauty of the mountain foot from the curb barking. Despite this rocky path does not make us comfortable, we were entertained by the beauty of the natural scenery that surrounds us.
More and more small rural area houses found in the outskirts of the way we pass. Some of our group member decided to stop briefly at a small mosque and performed prayers of worship. This rocky path is about 6.5 km, until we finally reached the road which was paved. It looks like the street is a little bit busy and there were motorcycles passing down the road. So we have to be a little bit cautious. This paved road is descending to the north, and the speed of our bikes reach about an average speed of 30 km/hour.
While enjoying our trip, one of our friends lost his digital camera. Digital cameras were hung in front of his body. But fortunately we were able to recover the digital camera. We follow the asphalt road for about 40 minutes and then our group turned to the southeast and back again into a small dirt road. The dirt path is along the water flow which was built for the purposes of hydropower plants. After about 3 km on the track we arrived at a large dam that seems to be collecting water for hydropower facility in Karacak arae.
We arrived on a unique grassy track, a fairly large path which climbs a very steep ascending track for about 50 meters long. One by one we were trying to get past the steep ascending track with our bicycle. All of us only could push their bikes up to the middle of this steep path.
Back we crossed the edge of the building’s concrete and pipe karacak hydropower installations. And right at the end of the second dam, we arrived at the end of a steep descending grassy track. The length of this track itself is about 150 meters, which has a height difference of about 25 meters. It has a fairly steep staircase to descend, and most of us chose to use the steep grassy path on the side of the stairs.
There was no accident happened when we go beyond these steep ascending area, and all the members arrived back at the car park location safely. It was then 15:30 o’clock and drizzling rain began to fall. As we swiftly disassemble our bicycle and pack them into the car, we bid farewell to friends who accompanied us on the journey Cianten day.
This is a long journey with a fairly large group for me. Thank you to my friends from CikarangMTB and Sacyc that accompanied us enjoyed the beautiful Cianten bicyle track. One day we will come back to Cianten to enjoy the grace of God Almighty.
